Five stages, one single adventure. Addax Rally 2025 description

ree

The desert roars once again. Addax Rally 2025 is approaching with a route designed for true rally raid enthusiasts. Five stages, one prologue, and more than 1,468 kilometers of timed special stages that will cross some of the toughest and most spectacular landscapes in southern Morocco. From the endless dunes of Merzouga to the wide plains of Ramlia and the valleys of Ouzina, each day promises a new challenge — a new battle between sand, navigation, and endurance.

Here’s the complete breakdown — kilometers, refuellings, and the essence of each stage — for those bold enough to face the Addax.

NOVEMBER 10 – PROLOGUE + STAGE 1

Prologue – SS: 54.8 km

  • Liaison to start: 14.5 km

  • Liaison from finish to paddock: 0 km

Stage 1 – SS: 149 km

  • Liaison to start: 21 km

  • Liaison from finish to paddock: 8.4 km

The Addax Rally begins in Merzouga, at the foot of the majestic Erg Chebbi, where golden dunes mark the start of the adventure. The prologue serves as an appetizer — a first duel between soft sand and fast tracks. In Stage 1, competitors head toward Begaa and Erg Znagui, where the terrain alternates between rocky sections and small dunes that will test traction and navigation skills. A stage that blends speed and precision — the perfect prelude to the days ahead.

NOVEMBER 11 – STAGE 2

Special (SS): 388.92 km

  • Liaison to start: 17.8 km

  • Liaison from finish: 3.6 km

  • Refuelling 1: km 139

  • Refuelling 2: km 284

The queen stage of the Addax Rally. Nearly 400 kilometers of true Moroccan desert. From the fast tracks of Taouz to the dry oueds of Jdeid and the endless sands of Ramlia, riders will face ever-changing terrain that demands precision, endurance, and a cool head. The landscape transitions between hamadas, scattered dunes, and open valleys. In Sidi Ali and Tisseoumine, the route becomes more technical — pure navigation, with minimal visual references. It’s a day for the navigators, for those who understand that the desert does not forgive mistakes.

NOVEMBER 12 – STAGE 3

Special (SS): 370 km

  • Liaison to start: 59 km

  • Liaison from finish: 0 km

  • Refuelling 1: km 146 (fuel station)

  • Refuelling 2: km 243 (fuel station)

From Erfoud to the surroundings of Rissani, this stage offers a route that alternates pure navigation zones with fast sectors on hard-packed tracks. The passages through Jorf remind everyone of Morocco’s unforgiving terrain — dry riverbeds, loose stones, and rough surfaces that punish both rider and machine. Navigation takes center stage. Few landmarks, constant direction changes, and the eternal sense of isolation. Those who keep their focus will earn their reward upon reaching the bivouac.

NOVEMBER 13 – STAGE 4

Special (SS): 373 km

  • Liaison to start: 3.6 km

  • Liaison from finish: 0 km

  • Refuelling 1: km 136

  • Refuelling 2: km 240

A dream stage. From the sands of Merzouga to the reddish landscapes of Ouzina, passing through the iconic Ramlia, this day combines soft dunes, compact sandy tracks, and sections of open navigation.

The valleys of Taouz and Begaa will witness a spectacular stage, perfectly balanced between speed and orientation. The terrain is constantly changing — dunes, oueds, rocks, and dust. This is the beating heart of the rally.

NOVEMBER 14 – STAGE 5

Special (SS): 283 km

  • Liaison to start: 0 km

  • Liaison from finish: 0 km

  • Refuelling 1: km 122

The final day — the grand finale. From Merzouga to Merzane, passing through the plains of Begaa, the terrain alternates between sand, rock, and fast tracks. Emotion mixes with exhaustion: every corner can make the difference between glory and heartbreak.

The return to Merzouga will be unforgettable. After more than 1,468 kilometers of special stages, the survivors of the Addax Rally will have conquered not only the desert, but also their own limits. This is not just a race — it’s a journey. An inner expedition where sand and endurance become a language, where every sunrise brings a new challenge and every kilometer tells a story.

Get ready to feel the roar of the desert.
